Why You Should Use Mobile

People often ask me, why should I use Bells on a mobile device?

What's the big deal?

Well, let me tell you!

The Bells mobile app puts the information you need right at your fingertips when you are on-site with patients, whether you have internet available to you or not.

Concurrent Documentation

Not only can you use Bells mobile while you're out in the community, you can use it in the office. Pulling out a familiar device like a phone is less intimidating to patients than a tablet, laptop or computer during a session. Bells mobile allows you to capture the building blocks of your session to apply to your notes in the web.

Why would you use mobile in the office?

Power go out? Internet on the fritz? Mobile has you covered!

Bells mobile is great for capturing session details or reviewing patient information such as diagnoses, treatment plan goals/objectives and previous progress notes. This can all be done with or without an internet connection.

Patient Details

Your patient's information is handy when you use the mobile app.  You can see the patient's demographics, contact info, appointments, diagnosis, treatment plan, Scribbles and even progress notes.
Tip:  A nifty thing about the demographic info in the app is that you can tap the patient's address or phone number to bring up your map software or dial the patient.  No copy/paste of the info is required!

Agenda

The Bells mobile app also allows you to see your agenda wherever you are, online or offline. Your appointments sync to your mobile device when you are online.  When you're offline, Bells will show your agenda as of the last time you were online with the app.

Scribbles

If you ever need a quick way to capture details, images, or even make notes to yourself, Scribbles are available in the mobile app to assist you.  The next time you're online, the Scribbles from your mobile app will sync to the web so they're available for writing your notes.

Sessions

You can start your sessions right on the mobile app.  Capture the session start time and/or end time, service, location, and/or show status.  Write a Scribble to capture those details you'll need when you write your note in the web app.

Important Mobile Features

  • Works offline - When you use the Bells mobile app, your agenda and patient information is loaded based on the last time the Bells app was online.  You can then use the app offline and it will sync your data with Bells web again the next time you open the Bells app when connected to the internet.
  • HIPAA compliant - any information you capture in the Bells app, including images, is stored in a HIPAA-compliant format.  Nothing goes to your camera roll or anywhere that could be accessed outside of the Bells app.
  • Call masking - Bells gives you the ability to mask your phone number when calling a patient from within the Bells app so that the patient won't have your personal mobile number.

Check with your Bells Administrator to confirm if your organization allows you to install Bells software on your device.
